Total Minimum Credits for Northern Virginia Community College A.S. Degree in Science equals 60 to 65.

Please Note: Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.5 in required Biology courses; a minimum GPA of 2.0 in all major course work and a minimum of 2.0 in non-Biology major requirements.

Please Note: Not all NVCC Humanities/Fine Arts electives qualify as General Education Elective requirements (i.e. ENG 211-212, Creative Writing I&II and ART 121-122, Drawing I&II) for NVCC.

The undergraduate program in biology is offered by the Department of Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) and the Department of Molecular and Microbiology (MMB). The concentration in environmental and conservation biology is sponsored by ESP.
