Notes
Total Minimum Credits for the Northern Virginia Community College A.A. Degree in Liberal Arts equals 60 to 64.
The Math Department recommends the student take at NVCC MTH 173, 174, 277,286, 285, and 291. If this is not possible, the minimum recommendation is MTH 173,174 and 277.
Please Note: Not all NVCC Humanities/Fine Arts electives qualify as General Education Elective requirements (i.e. ENG 211-212, Creative Writing I&II and ART 121-122, Drawing I&II) for NVCC.
While other VCCS courses may also qualify for some of the categories above, we have included those that are most often available. We strongly recommend that you work closely with your VCCS Counselor or Faculty Advisor to assure the most appropriate choices for your major.
