Become a George Mason University Ambassador

Applications for the Ambassadors program are accepted by nomination. Rising freshmen are recommended by the admissions staff, and students who have achieved at least sophomore standing may obtain applications from the Office of Admissions. Membership is highly selective, and Ambassadors are chosen based on a combination of their leadership potential, communication skills, academic accomplishments, and enthusiasm for George Mason University.

Mason Ambassadors are, as implied by their name, chosen to serve as exemplary delegates for the entire student body, representing their fellow colleagues before some of the university’s most elite guests. For this reason, perhaps the most important characteristic of a Mason Ambassador is a genuine enthusiasm for George Mason University and a desire to participate in promotional outreach activities to heighten the value of a George Mason University degree.
