Executive Director of Admissions

After growing up in North Carolina, I attended the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and earned a BFA in Fine Arts with Honors. After graduating, I started my career in admissions as the assistant director of admissions at Ringling. (At that point, it was never my intention to remain in the admissions field, but now 25 years later, I'm still in the thick of it.)
I left sunny Florida for an opportunity to move to the Center for Creative Studies (CCS), in Detroit, Michigan. (What was I, nuts? Yet, I stayed in Detroit for the next eleven years.) At CCS, I progressed from associate director, to director of admissions, and was finally promoted to associate dean of student affairs with responsibility of supervision of both the admissions and financial aid offices.
After those years in the cold and snow, I said goodbye to the midwest and found my way to George Mason University and everything that the surrounding area has to offer. On November 1, 2005, I celebrated ten years at Mason. During that time, I have witnessed the university grow faster than any institution with which I have ever been familiar. That makes Mason a very exciting place to be, and I hope to be able to invite many of you to be a part of the excitement.
