Notes
The Bachelor of Individualized Study program is an adult degree-completion major. Appliicants must be 25 or older and meet the unique requirements for admission. BIS offers two academic concentrations: 1) Individualized Study and 2) Early Childhood Education Studies. VCCS students interested in pursuing the Early Childhood Education Studies concentration should complete the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree in Early Childhood Development. NOTE: NVCC Pathway to Baccalaureate students are ineligible for admission to BIS-Childhood Education Studies with an A.A.S degree. Due to the unique nature of the BIS program, prospective students are encouraged to attend a BIS information session and then follow-up with an individual appointment with a BIS academic advisor. Additional requirements and departmental contact information are available at: bis.gmu.edu
